Organization (group)

An organization is Ration’s workspace: inventory, recipes, meal plan, supply list, and AI credit balance all belong to that group. You can belong to more than one organization; you pick an active one to work in (see Switching groups).

Shared kitchen vs Macro Tracking

Kitchen data (Cargo, Galley, Manifest plan, Supply, credits) is always per organization and never merges when you switch groups.

Macro Tracking (Daily Fuel) is personal: your goals and logged intake belong to you as a person, not to the household. Cook deducts shared pantry stock; Log my serving records how much you ate (servings or weighed g/oz when recipe mass is known). When cross-kitchen diary is enabled for your account, day totals and history can include intake you logged in any kitchen you use — roommates still only see shared kitchen logistics, not your calories. Cargo

Cargo is your pantry inventory: items with quantity, unit, optional expiry, domain (food, household, alcohol), and tags. Adding items can trigger a merge suggestion when Ration thinks two names are the same product.

Galley

The Galley is your recipe library (full recipes) and provisions (simple single-item foods). Ingredients can be linked to Cargo for accurate cook and shopping math.

Manifest

The Manifest is the meal plan calendar: meals placed in breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack slots. Cook (or consume) deducts matched ingredients from Cargo for the household. Log my serving is the private Macro Tracking step on top of that cook — not implied by Cook. See Manifest (meal plan).

Supply

Supply is the shopping list, built from what your planned and selected meals need minus what you already have in Cargo. Macros do not rewrite the list. You can snooze items you do not need to buy and (on eligible plans) share a public link.

Credits

AI credits are spent on operations like receipt scan, AI recipe generation, URL recipe import, and AI plan-week. They are stored on the organization, not on individual users—every member draws from the same pool.

MCP (AI assistant integration) read/write tools do not consume AI credits; they are separate from credit-gated hub features (web and iOS).
