Switching groups (organizations)

Why groups exist

Each organization has its own Cargo, Galley, Manifest, Supply list, and credit balance. That lets you keep a personal pantry separate from a household or team workspace.

Selecting the active group

Use the group switcher in the hub (exact placement is in the app chrome) to choose which organization is active. All hub pages—Cargo, Galley, Manifest, Supply, Settings actions—apply to that active group only.

Data isolation

• Members only see organizations they belong to.
• Switching groups does not merge data; it only changes which workspace you are editing.
• Credits belong to the active organization’s pool when you run AI features.

Membership admin

Creating groups, invitations, roles, ownership transfer, credit transfer, planning horizon, and delete group are covered in Groups and membership. Inviting others requires an eligible Crew Member plan and an appropriate role — see Free vs Crew Member.

Ownership note

Some limits and subscription benefits depend on the organization owner’s plan, not only your personal account—see Free vs Crew Member for “owner’s tier” behavior.
